So I decided to record the old Carter Family classic Wildwood Flower on two very different guitars. The recordings aren't perfect, but I'd like some input on the sound of these guitars. Please take a listen and let me know what you think. All mistakes are mine, of course. Bonus points if you can identify the guitars in the recordings.

#2 is actually an archtop. I guess it does sound like a resonator in the recording.

Hey Adam. I'm not experienced enough to identify, but I like what I'm hearing. #2 particularly catches my ear and reminds me of a western movie or perhaps Gunsmoke! I really want to know what brand/model guitar that is. Thanks!

Input on any guitar is hard for me to answer. I do like the sound of the archtop if you are wanting to keep a moment of authenticity to the original.
The other guitar sounds fine if you consider the recording for what it is.
Your picking is fine - I don't mind little imperfections. or misstakes for that matter-- anyone with sufficient time and outboard gear can be note perfect every time.
Hope this helps - d
