Hello everyone. I decided to join this forum as I have been playing my guitar more and getting more interested in the flat picking . I have played since high school but kind of played off an on through the years. I still have my original guitar my parents bought me. I played folk and listened to Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell a lot, Joan Baez and other folk artists. Got into some classical music but I am not good with notes. I can read the tabs though. Anyway I became immersed in banjo playing a couple of years ago and then also started playing my guitar more again. I retired from work about a year and a half ago but work part time driving school bus with special needs kids.
Discovered Doc Watson and Deep River Blues and I am hooked. :)

Hey Judith, I have just returned to the hangout after a year away due to health reasons which stole nearly all I ever knew about banjo and guitar. I'm fighting my way back on the guitar and I am having a wonderful time. Some things are coming back to me and I am learning lots of other new things. The tab section on this hangout will be a great help. Keep picking and have fun. Ron
