Hi Everyone! I've been flatpicking for many years, but haven't actively been seeking new tab and practicing hard for about 7 years. I loaded up my old hard drive to get going (perfect timing during quarantine) and the hard drive is shot. I lost it all. I found some online, but nearly everything I used to have I can't find again. I used to have tons of Bryan Sutton tablature in TablEdit like Beaumont Rag, Big Sandy River, so many more. What happened? I would have thought today there would be more than ever compared to 7 years ago but I can't find anything.

Does anyone know a resource? I've used all the links on here, TablEdit website, and many other. I know about some of these sites but I'm looking for advanced TablEdit breaks from guitar players like Sutton, Grier, etc. I'm sick to my stomach I lost all those tabs. If anyone has a resource, or knows someone who has it all, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you!

Have you tried having your hard drive installed on a different computer, then try to read your disk file ? The next time you get a computer, get an external drive. Fast and no file cleanups are needed. Get 2 external drives and you can copy one of them to the other once a week or so. That way you won't lose everything.

In some cases, computer technicians can take a hard drive from a computer, and use various methods to recover the data. I think your data is still on the hard drive, and possible recoverable.
Did you take any steps to determine if the problem is with the drive, or with the computer/computer software ?

You might check out frettedinstrumentsnyc.com. Jack Baker has a lot of flatpicking tabs on his site and maybe some would be what you're looking for. He's also working on new flatpicking tabs for guitar. You might PM him (through the Banjohangout) and see if he is going to be working on tabs for any of the songs you've lost.
