Again, keeping this wonderful advice strictly within the walls of the Swing group. In my in-depth review of Horowitz's Gypsy Picking book on this site I mentioned how the right hand technique of the gypsy style can facilitate runs and lines that would be very difficult - if not impossible - to play at the same speed using regular bluegrass style alternating picking. Agreed, there are occasions when the opposite is true, and I'm always happy to use whatever technique serves me best under the circumstances at any moment (thereby alienating myself from hardcore elements in both camps!). Nevertheless, in this video of the wonderful Angelo DeBarre you can clear see the benefits of the right hand gypsy picking style:
