Recently, I had a skilled guitar Luther made the bracing at the top towards scalloping and the bridge plate was reduced of it´s mass. Some fret work, new bone saddle m.m. I bought it new in 1976 and felt it was a bit "overbuilt" and from reading at various places I learned about the large rosewood bridge plate that hindered some sound. Seams like it got a lot more of volume and complexity - or interesting sounding notes - out of the guitar now and i am pleased.
It´s a players guitar today, and I am that player!
Are there others out there with similar changes into your D-76 Martins?
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2013!
Regards, Bo

I play bluegrass banjo, but "cheat" on guitar just for fun. I am an amateur.
