I was born and raise here in Washington and Oregon, Yes I live here in Yakima Washington. I been playing the 5 string banjo for about Oh, I quess 20 +- years now, I think so I pick. Start playing in all places, Enid, OK. I always love hearing the banjo playing, at the time, there was not many banjo recordings to listen to, So I said to myself, if I learn to play the banjo, I can listen to all the banjo music I want. I have a AAS in Web technogly design from Yakima Valley Community College. Not much in formal education in music or learning to play my insturments. I try start to get a Music degree but the banjo not consider a standard instrument, Took a Music appaton class and college Guitar class, which I ACEd it, for as much of music therory I could get. I mainly learn from books on banjo playing. Of course, Mr Miles of Miles Music (sold mainly string insturments), a retire tenor Banjo, where I bought my banjos was gave me some instruction as well but there where, he said I bypass him and knew more than him, My first banjo was a Hondo, now I play a "Betsy" a Eagle 5 string Banjo with Scruggs tuners, I play bluegrass, blues, classcial, Jazz, Did run a open jam here in Yakima, WA. Keep on Pickin'

My Music Myspace is www.myspace.com/juliesmusic60

God bless you all!
