hey guys i am new to this blog iam sure glad its here i have some bad news my old d28 just had an accident i was headin over to lay some tracks at my buddies garage studio i went out to the garage sat the case on my generator turn around to open the door the case slipped of f the gen i picked it up put it in the back seat and thought nothing of it . well i got to the studio open the case and my jaw hit the ground the upper bout has a crack about 10 inches long right in the center of the upper side it brought tears to my eyes. My friend Bill Hayes a great banjo player and banjo luthier himself says buddy take the tension off right away so the crack dont open up any further. Well i got home and called a friend of mine Herman McGee from white mountain bluegrass he gave me the phone number for Jack Obrien from jaffery NH he said dont worry he can fix it. Ive got an appointment with him march 3rd from what i understand jack is the best around thank God for my bluegrass friends. I will keep you updated. Oh and by the way i have a Beautiful HD 28 my wife bought me 15 years ago my old 28 is my Guitar of choice but the HD is a nice axe also.Well thanks for listening talk to ya soon. CW
