just found this website. I bought my DY 77 years ago at a car auction where they had confiscated goods from police dept. It cost me $80. It is a 1974 and plays excellent. I wasn't using it, and then had the bridge repaired and new strings, and couldn't believe how good it sounded and played just as good or better than my dy 57(1978) that i had purchased new. I have taken tour of Martin guitar factory and got to play all their models, and I think that this guitar sounds almost as good as their newer high end models, but somehow plays easier, maybe the neck is similar to dy 57 and just fits my hands right I don't know
