California Here I Come.....

I have been fortunate enough to have been chosen as the International Music guest for Consonance 2013 Mar 1-3, 2013 in Milipitas, California near San Jose. Consonance is a major "Filk" convention, one of several in North America. What is Filk? I'm sure if you google it you will get a good idea but basically it is genre based folk music. In other words, in this case folk music about science fiction particularly Star Trek, Babylon 5 etc. I do mostly parody writing and don't always have a sci-fi theme but it all works together. I now have 3 CDs full of my creations and hope to sell a few while I'm down there.

Started playing trumpet when I was 8. While in school I tried every instrument they had. The guitar got added in when the Beatles hit in 64....others followed. Studied music at the Royal Conservatory and started teaching. Worked part time with an organ rebuilder who also tuned pianos and later started my own company. I had a couple of music stores too. Music is my life.
