This is a great combination of flatpicking and clawhammer. You don't hear it much but it's really cool. Guess Adam Hurt is a decent banjo player, huh? I really like your back-up as well--not just boom-chicking but also placing some emphasis on the chord. Sounds cool.

Hey nice! I like the backup variation too. There's a few of us that sneak off for some flatpicking sometimes at Clifftop. We like to add in obscure fiddle tunes too. Look us up next year, but use the secret handshake [:)]
