One of my favorite songs to use as an improvisational springboard. Sometimes it comes out plain and simple, sometimes it comes out... a little strange. This was recorded using a 1931 C.F.Martin O-17 and a BlueChip TAD -40.

I play with my father alot, and we regularly perform publicly as a duet in our area. I've had him show me the melody to many of the songs I play and he has been a big influence. My father is of what I call the" Doc Watson" school of flatpicking. My personal approach to any song is something that has evolved from constant trial and error and always attempting to have an " identity " as a guitarist. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!

Another classy offering. I really like the tones you capture in your recordings. Cheers.

This is was a standard guitar piece around here too, sometimes in G, sometimes in C, and sometimes with both as a key change. Thanks for posting your cut with the 0-17. I listened to your other Spinning Wheel - was it cut with one of your dreads? I plan to take a friend shopping for guitars to Nashville soon, and small Mahogany tops are on the short list.
