I guess this tune is also known as Indian ate a woodcock. I became familiar with it from a recording by the great and late Buddy Emmons on pedal steel guitar.

There a a number of different versions of this tune - ef Grace Forest/Brad Leftwich & The Humdingers. Chance McCoy/Art Stamper do a slightly different version and a guitar tab to this is given by Eric Thompson [Flatpick Guitar Magazine Vol 4 No 2 who do a whole piece on him]. You can still (I think) buy all the tabs+mp3's as one bundle & the same version is played by Eric on the intro to his DVD "Flatpicking Fiddle Tunes"
