I bought the guitar to play Bluegrass and I could not be happier. I must have played 100 guitars before buying this one. I played Martins, Taylors, Guild, Furch, and a whole bunch of others. This guitar sounds as good or better than every other guitar I tried.

Mahogony from Honduras, Sitka Spruce top, Ebony fret-board. Solid wood through and through. It looks like a pre-war Martin. In other words, great!

This guitar outclasses or matches about everything I've played including the expensive Martin's and Taylors. The sound is rich and balanced.
The BR-240 sells for around 1/3 the price as a comparable American-made guitar simply because this guitar is "put together" in China. If you are like me and want a fantastic guitar but would rather spend your money on your family than on "status", this is the guitar for you.
