This is my go-to guitar. It fits what I play perfectly. I primarily flatpick, but this guitar has been played by world class fingerpickers & shines in either genre. Since it has an adirondack top, the tone/sound continues to evolve. It doesn't know it's not a dreadnaught (although being a 000, it, of course will never have that full dread sound). It's louder than it has any right to be and the tone is killer. It's well balanced, cuts well in a jam and is just a real pleasure to play.

The action is/has been perfect. In the last three years, Leo has been very quick to answer any questions I've had, make minor adjustments (as I experimented with light or medium gauge strings), etc. or needed seasonal adjustments

Working with Leo was an extremely positive experience. Initially, he helped me with decisions on the wood to use, what appointments I wanted, etc. We didn't always agree, but it was an easy process, and the end product is just great. I feel like it was a true collaboration. This is as pretty a guitar as you'll ever find.

The guitar has been very stable & has no issues. I'ts been played out at jams & gigs a LOT & has never failed to produce. I've played in jams with 10-15 instruments & you can always hear it above the din. As a single backup to singing, it's a perfect compliment to my voice. I use it both sitting & with a strap. It sits well in either position. It's very well made.

The guitar has been very stable & has no major issues. . Since this was Leo's first guitar, there have been minor issues with the fit & finish. Leo has now made about 25 guitars & I've seen that these small issues that my guitar had have been taken care of in his subsequent efforts. The minor problems I've had have been easily taken care of by Leo.

It's got a 25" scale, madagascar rosewood b&s w/an adirondack top, Ivoroid binding throughout, 1 3/4"nut, gold waverly tuners, bone nut & saddle, Madagascar rw headstock overlay & a beautiful Greven pickguard. The neck profile was copied from another guitar & he nailed it. It's perfect. I have high praise & no complaints about the components used.

I've been playing guitar for 50+ years & have had an on-going case of Guitar Acquistion Syndrome (GAS). Since I acquired my Posch, my GAS is (almost) gone.

Norman Blake sings in the "D-18 Song" about a guitar that's "crisp & clean, rich & full, all a guitar oughta be". That's how I would describe this guitar. It's the epitomy of a dreadnaught. The Cuban Mahogany has all the crisp & clean tone production of a great mahogany guitar, plus all the richness/fullness of a great brazian rosewood guitar. I don't play dreads much anymore, because of some physical limitations, but, when I first played this guitar, I had to have it. It's got that "IT" that we all look for. The only reason I scored the sound as a 9, is that it's a new adirondack top & will take some time to break in.

Leo's set-ups are always right on. He learned good set-up in his 17 years as head repairman/luthier at Mass.St.Music & has since been able to apply that knowledge to the building of his own guitars.

With it's top notch woods, greven pickguard, an unfinished ebony fingerboard with short form diamonds & squares inlay, & a very well done "Leo Posch" on the peghead, this is a really fine looking guitar.

This guitar (if well cared for) will be around for a very long time. Leo has thought out all aspects of making a guitar & makes them to be played for many, many years.
Reliability Rating: 10
I've had a lot of experience with Leo over the years, as he has been my set-up guy for a long time. He is conscientious, very honest (at times, brutally so -- with a smile) & he is the best at what he does. He really cares about his customers & it shows.

This guitar is cuban mahogany b&s with a beautiful sunburst adirondack top. It has very cool looking cocobolo binding, bone nut & saddle & nickel waverlys tuners. It has a 1 3/4" nut with a 2 1/4" bridge pin spacing. All components are top quality.

The only thing I wish was different about this guitar is that it were already "played in". The top is tight sounding, as are all good adirondack tops, & needs to be played hard for a year or two before it totally opens up. The guitar sounds great right now, but I think it will sound incredible in a year or two.
