Hey folks! Got a guitar, about a month or so ago, and am trying like hell to learn to play. I have been playing Scruggs style banjo, for about 2 years, and I have been playing harmonica for about 42 years. I have been singing 'bout my whole life. I play in a small band (a duet) where I sing, play harmonica and sometimes banjo, with my great buddy, Brent, who plays guitar and mandolin. He is now trying clawhammer banjo. We are called The Achords, and we play an eclectic mix of stuff: Folk, country, Bluegrass and light rock. We have a great time, and have become fairly busy doing local gigs. I also (with another buddy) host a weekly open mic night at a local bar. If you are ever in Farmington, Maine, give me a shout!
I'm looking forward to meeting all the great folks here. If this is anything like the Banjo Hangout, I know I am going to make some good friends.

I've been playing banjo for the last 2 years, and decided it was time to start guitar. I also play the harmonica (since I was 5 years old!) and have been singing most of my life. I am in a band called The Achords. Also, a buddy and I host a local open mic night. I'm looking forward to making friends here, like I have at the banjo hangout.
