Is Tony Rice still the best flatpicker in bluegrass?

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Yes i think that he is. I saw him in concert over the summer and he was fantastic. A couple of months before that i saw Andy Falco and he was good but i just don't think that anyone can top Tony Rice. Although Clay Jones (Mountain Heart) is very very good and Josh Williams too.

I started playing about two years ago and have really stuck with it. Playing Bluegrass is my favorite hobby and it runs in my family. It started with my Grandpa Abe Brown that played banjo, then it just run down from there to me. I currently own a Martin HD-28 and have owned it for about 6 months. I enjoy playing it and pickin Bluegrass.
