More or less a native Floridian. Interested in music for as long as I can remember. Parents had various records, including some Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and Los Indios Tabajares recordings. My uncle played steel and dobro, and introduced me to classic country, bluegrass, and Western Swing.. showed my my first chords, set me up with a cheap old "regal" guitar. Been plugging at it, in an inconsistent manner, ever since. I've had a renewed passion for it in the last several years since I completed grad school, and am starting to make a little more progress.
