I first heard this song as done by The Kingston Trio and didn't know Billy Edd wrote it until many years later when he sang it in a cabin a music business golf tourney. I had fun visiting memory lane with this one. I love the Trio's harmonies. I did a poor job mixing this cut, but y'all know by now I'm a lousy engineer. :)

One of my favorite songs to play. It is played with both "E" strings tuned down to "D", and this is my own arrangement, though it is very close to Tim's original.

In the 70s, Mick moved to Oregon, and I guess this song was about that move, though I never asked him about it., Beautiful imagery in the lyrics. Played on my '67; D-28.

A home recording of a song by my all time favorite songwriter, Mickey Newbury. Just me on all parts and just for fun - I'm no sound engineer.

This old blues tune was recorded in 1927/28 by Blind Lemon Jefferson though it may not have been written by him I've always done it this way which is a little different arrangement. Really fun song to play and sing but not the happiest lyric. I play it with a dropped D 6th. string and in D minor.

This is a really fun song to do. I had a ball doing all the vocal parts, and the picking is pretty easy. Played on my Eastman AC-720 guitar.

This song was a hit by Jerry Lee Lewis and contains one of County music's finest lines, "baby's packed her soft things and she's left me". Played on my '67; D-28.

My dear friend (now deceased), Fred Carter Jr. played all the licks on the original Simon and Garfunkel recording of this great song. He was a great Nashville session guitar player for many decades. I'm sure I don't have it exactly right, but I did the best I could.

Probably one of my three most favorite Newbury songs. Great lyrics as only he could write them.

I love this old folk song, and I guess I first heard it as performed by Joan Baez way back in the early 60s. I do it a bit faster than she did, but I really like to play it.

I don't know who wrote this old song, but I love it. I used an arrangement from an Emmylou Harris recording as my guide.
